What type of animals in the zoo?

All the Zollman Zoo animals are Minnesota native. The zoo has over 30 species and over 80 individual animals. A majority of the animals are housed outside with reptiles, amphibians, fish, and some smaller raptors inside the Nature Center.

No, pets are not allowed at the Zollman Zoo or in the buildings, this includes comfort and/or emotional support animals. Service animals that are trained for a specific task are welcome but may be asked to leave if they are misbehaving.

Is food or drink allowed in the zoo?

No, outside food or drink is allowed in the zoo. No concessions are offered inside as well.

Are bicycles or recreational vehicles allowed in the park?

No bicycles or recreational vehicles are allowed off improved roadway surfaces (blacktop and gravel), except seasonal fat tire biking, weather permitting as ground must by frozen to prevent damage to trails.

Are dogs allowed in the park?

Yes, dogs must be leashed at all times and only allowed in the designated leashed dog area. Leash length must not be longer than six feet.
