Nice hotel, close to Mayo Clinic

I chose this hotel due to its proximity to Mayo clinic, which I was visiting for work. It is nice, the rooms are large and comfortable, however a bit old decorated. WIFI was OK, and breakfast was OK as well. Overall it is a nice hotel, not too fancy but very convenient

Mayo stay

Stayed for appointments at the Mayo Clinic. The location is great. The subway system is connected to the hotel, so if weather is bad you don't have to deal with rain or snow. Room has very comfortable beds. No outside noise like some places we have stayed. The room needed some attention. TV remote didn't work very well and they didn't have another one for us to try. So, we had to battle with the remote to get it to work. The heater was very loud and rattled while running. The cover fell off a few times, so we just left it off and the rattling stopped. The door lock was very touchy and it took some work to get door open. The hotel was in the process of remodeling the breakfast area, so it wasbs t up in the restaurant. It was rather disorganized, but food was okay

mayo trip

picked this place, because it was attached to the mayo clinic through its subway system. the first stay the room was a little dated with the decor, but beds comfortable and that's what we needed. the second stay the room was updated and bed was comfortable. breakfast was good and staff for check in was great. we had a 1230 appointment and didn't know if we needed to stay another night, we asked for a later checkout so if we had to stay we could keep same room

Nice rooms, great breakfast

Room price was reasonable. Rooms were very clean. Hotel location was right across the street from Mayo. Very spacious room. Breakfast was very good. Two ladies at breakfast took extra good care of my parents and me. Cheryl and Pat Little made sure we had everything we needed, and they did it with a smile. It's very important to have a good start to the day when you have a day full of cancer testing, and our stay at the Kahler helped. My only comment is that they should have a free parking deal with the adjacent parking garage

Grateful Guests

Hotel may not be newest but is comfy enough, but has basic amenities. We appreciate it most for its Ideal location for Mayo patients since Subway Level of hotel conveniently connects to hospital. Lost my earmuffs near lobby and front desk Madeleine generously offered to look for them and have them placed in the room. Cheryl made morning breakfast experience enjoyable for her diligence and cheerful disposition. Had to extend our stay. Even if our booking was a lower room type, they agreed to just keep us in the same room. We will be back for our next scheduled doctor's visit. That Caribou Coffee and Jimmy John's is accessible thru lobby is a plus, too
