mayo trip

picked this place, because it was attached to the mayo clinic through its subway system. the first stay the room was a little dated with the decor, but beds comfortable and that's what we needed. the second stay the room was updated and bed was comfortable. breakfast was good and staff for check in was great. we had a 1230 appointment and didn't know if we needed to stay another night, we asked for a later checkout so if we had to stay we could keep same room

Reliable Standby

I just spent 2 days at Mayo for treatment. The Kahler with its indoor subway walkway is maximally convenient to the clinic and Methodist hospital. Too, there are many dining venues within easy walking distance. The rooms are clean and comfortable. This is far from a new property, but it serves well for convenience to the clinic. Subterranean parking is a problem as management does not enforce courteous use of parking allowing many guests to use two spaces for one vehicle in the very limited parking facility. Walking in the rain from the parking structure across the street when there are no accessible space in the subterranean garage is no fun. The breakfast is generally tasty, but they did run out of the most popular item before the last hour of my first day there. Whoever in management that selected the flimsy eating utensils should be required to every one of their meals with them until they decide to replace the flimsy ones with some of substance - I am sure it would not be long

Business trip ro Rochester, MN

Great hotel in downtown Rochester, MN on a very busy evening. Also had an awesome burger at CB3 bar. Parking was easy, and walking distance to business or hospital. I would stay again if I am in town

Courtesy and Reliability

I frequently use a shuttle service that stops at the Kahler Inn & Suites. The staff has consistently been friendly and courteous. David, the bellman, makes sure my luggage is accounted for and my shuttle is punctual. Also, an adjacent Caribou Coffee makes this location a convenient stop

Gluten free

The room is nice and clean. Heater is a lil noisey- same with bathroom fan. I am very impressed with the breakfast many options for being gluten free. When I thanked Cheryl for the GF ladyfingers she said they hope to expand it. I will definitely stay here again. The price fit the budget and the hotel was worth it
