Friendly staff

Cheryl was very jovial in the breakfast nook (yes, there is free breakfast). She came out with a glowing Santa hat and ornament necklace that lit up. Very friendly and helpful to everyone who came by. Almost everyone here is for medical care at Mayo. And some of us could really use the cheering up. Cheryl has only worked in this area for one month but is definitely making a difference in peoples lives. Accommodations were average to below average but considering it’s location and what I came here to do it was just fine. Only wish they were more clear on where to park

Good for the basics

If you are just looking for a clean comfortable room, centrally located and reasonably priced this is a decent choice. The pool is a joke - 3 feet deep and the hot tub barely fits two people. When we stayed the parking garage was closed & breakfast service was out of order but that is unusual as I have stayed many times without those issues

excellent location to Mayo Clinic appointments

close proximity to most appointments at Mayo Clinic but hotel old and sometimes not clean.Luggage carts are not clean and difficult to manage.Restaurant on site and most of menu conducive to dietary restrictions of tests. Hours of operation of restaurant are good. Basic supplies available for purchase at front desk

There must be better in Rochester

If convenience to Mayo is your desire, this is the place; but, this place looks and feels like 1965 all over again. Room was clean but OLD. So many of the reviews point out the age of both the downtown Kahler properties. Breakfast was cold but free. Parking is $10 a day. Jimmy Johns was a good dinner choice

Parking Horrible!!!!!!!

Room was ok, staff seemed OK. We had eaten in CB3 before, so we knew enough not to eat there again. Although there is not much of a choice for a good, not horribly expensive meal, anywhere around. But my big complain was the parking. I did not find a spot. Drove everywhere then parked at the Damon lot. I have a Sienna van and hit one of the height warning signs. Very frustrating. Nice that they have recliners you can rent and have brought to any room. That was very nice. My wife uses one all the time and we seldom get a room that has one
